Car AC Story

So for a while now my car, a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX, had a problem with the Air Conditioner. The problem occured when the intercooler (think radiator on top of the engine to cool the turbocharger) was rubbing against my hard AC line that runs between the intercooler and the firewall of the car's engine bay. Eventually, the intercooler rubbed against it to the point that it punctured the line and all the refrigant escaped leaving me with no AC. So, I special ordered a new AC line and it took almost a month to get it and then it took another month trying to setup an available timeslot for me to bring my car into the dealership to get it fixed. However, I finally snapped when it rained last week. Since I didn't have AC, my windows fogged up and it was hell driving home. I was ticked to the point that when I got home, I replaced the line myself with anger. Took me 30 minutes to swap out the old line and install the new line so I don't understand why the dealership said that line install was a 2hr labor charge *shrugs*. Then I went to Walmart and bought a can of R134a refrigant and for about a week now I have nice cool AC for this 100F+ degree weather here in Houston, TX. So all in all, I spent around 250 dollars on the line, 30 dollars on the refrigant, an hour of labor and months of hell. I think I got a good deal...not.
